Viggo: smoothing the edges of a daily ride
Selected UX and interface improvements across onboarding, booking communication and the post-ride experience for Viggo, a Copenhagen-based ride service.
Working inside a live product
Viggo needed focused improvements to its existing rider app, not a full redesign. I worked on three parts of the journey: onboarding, communication during an active booking, and what happens after a ride.
Improve the experience without making it feel redesigned.
Every change had to fit the existing product patterns and engineering constraints.
What I worked on
Booking communication. Once a ride is booked, the rider is mostly watching and waiting. Driver details, vehicle, live position and clear status updates all needed to feel calm and easy to follow, even when the driver was delayed or finishing another ride.
Onboarding and post-ride. I also worked on the moments before and after a ride, removing friction from onboarding, receipts, ratings and next steps.
